Xlim Pro 2 DNA: Does It Live Up to the Hype?
What’s in the box?
When you open the box, you will find everything you need to get started, except some e-liquids, which is expected.

In the Box
- Xlim Pro 2 DNA device
- 0.6Ω Xlim V3 Stainless Steel Top-Fill pod cartridge (pre-installed)
- 0.8Ω Xlim V3 Stainless Steel Top-Fill pod cartridge (spare)
- USB Type-C Cable
- Lanyard
- User Manual
- User Guide
What I liked about opening the box is that as soon as you open it, you see this shiny new device, and Oxva’s new EVOLV DNA Chip technology is explained right next to it to get you excited.
Oxva has included some newer, never-before-seen tech in this kit to really make it stand out from the competition.

Anti-Burn
This is a revolutionary development in the world of vaping - no more dry hits! This feature helps the device detect when there is no e-liquid or insufficient e-liquid in the brand new Xlim V3 Stainless Steel Coil cartidges, stopping the vape from firing and avoiding dry hits to prolong the coil's lifespan.
Flavour Replay
This feature can either become a favourite of yours or something you may just skip over. This feature allows you to press the ‘heart’ button after a satisfying puff, and the device will follow the same output curve as before to deliver an identical experience in the next puff.
To use the features above, you must use the new Oxva Xlim V3 Stainless Steel replacement pod cartridges - but trust me, they’re worth it.
First Impressions of the Xlim Pro 2 DNA
The first thing I noticed about the product is how sleek and stylish it is, which is expected from Oxva, knowing their Xlim series. The Luminous Forged Carbon Fiber colourway is exceptional; the glow in the dark green spots, plus the black rim around the whole device, just make it look so cool.
Setting up the device is a breeze; a quick user guide card in the box explains the button operations and helps you get started. The separate ‘heart’ and ‘function’ buttons may take you a second to get used to, but they do have a purpose.
I paired the Pro 2 DNA with Oxva’s Ox Passion Nic Salts in a 10mg strength of Berry Lemon flavour, in the 0.8Ω pod included in the box.
Smooth sailing, hassle-free, exceptional vaping experience.
After letting the coil prime for a couple of minutes, I took my first puff and was just reminded of how truly great Oxva vape kits are. The flavours are on point, the draw activation is a breeze, and I produced a good amount of vapour. This is a regular vaper's dream device.
Now onto trying out the special functions.
The Flavour Replay mode is kind of cool! I played around with it for a bit, and it’s a neat feature, but I’m not sure if it’s for everyone. If you can tell the difference between each puff you take and pinpoint which type of draw you want to keep, this is a great tool. You can set the replay mode anytime you find a suitable output from the device with a single click on the heart button and reset to normal mode with two clicks.
As for the Anti-Burn mode, it’s just a great addition to have, and you don’t really need to think about it. If the device detects that there isn’t enough liquid in the pod, then it just won’t fire. This saves your coils from burning out for no reason, and it’s a great tool if you’re unsure of the minimum amount of liquid you should have in your pods.
How does the Xlim Pro 2 DNA perform after a week of use?
We’ll review the main points that make a vape kit worthwhile: battery life, flavour production, cloud production, ease of use, and portability.
First, battery life. The Pro 2 DNA comes with a 1300mAh battery, which easily lasts me two days of normal use. You can also track your battery percentage on the device's screen. I cannot fault the battery life, as it does its job very well. You can easily get back to a full charge with the fast charging Type-C port on the bottom of the device, and I always recommend taking out your pod before setting the device on its side while it’s charging so that your pods don’t leak or oversaturate.
Flavour production is just perfect. Pairing the Pro 2 DNA with Oxva’s line of e-liquids is the way to go, but you can always experiment with new liquids. Disposable vape inspired e-liquids are the ideal choice as they have so much flavour, sweet and fruity, with a nice cooling finish.
Over the week I have used it, the flavour replication has not diminished, which is excellent and is expected from such a highly regarded company as Oxva. I recommend replacing the pods every two weeks to keep a fresh taste, and you will not have any problems with this kit.
Cloud production is essential to some, but not so much for me. From time to time, we all like to hit a more discreet puff with minimal cloud production, which this device can do. The same goes for more robust clouds. If that’s what you’re into, this kit is definitely capable. It all comes down to the coil resistance you’re using, your vaping style, and good control of the airflow system.
As I mentioned before, I paired this device with a 0.8Ω stainless steel coil pod, which is perfect for an RDL vape. You can open up the airflow for great cloud production and close it for a more intense MTL hit that is more discreet, but you get the same nicotine hit and flavour production.
Using the device and getting used to the new functions was also extremely easy. The Anti-Burn technology works without any input from the user and is just there as a safekeeping mechanism for the coils. The Flavour Replay mode is cool, but again, after a week of use, I don’t use it as often as I thought I would.
Unfortunately, the Anti-Burn screen symbol sometimes pops up when I know there is enough e-liquid in the pod, which has occasionally prevented me from taking a puff. At the same time, it is an easy fix: just swish the e-liquid around the pod or take it out and put it back in, and the device kind of resets itself.
Portability is not a problem. It is sleek enough to fit into my pockets, bag or anywhere you usually carry your vape kit. The lanyard is also a terrific addition if you want to use it.
Overall, in the week that I have used the PRO 2 DNA, it is an exceptional kit, and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade to something with the latest tech that actually improves their vaping experience.
How does the Xlim Pro 2 DNA compare to previous models?
The PRO 2 DNA stands out from its predecessors due to the new EVOLV DNA technology that it harnesses, which makes a big difference. Therefore, it is simply a better vape kit and an exceptional addition to Oxva’s legacy. To make things a little easier, Oxva has put this little infographic together so that you can see at a glance what you’re getting compared to older models.

As you can see, the only real difference is the EVOLV DNA chip, which works wonders with the new stainless steel pods. The battery life is the same, as is the ease of use and portability. The device may have the edge in flavour and cloud production with the new pods, which also last longer than the old ones due to the Anti-Burn tech. You’re getting more realistic flavour replication and absolute control over your cloud production.
I have used both the PRO 2 and the PRO 2 DNA. They are exceptional devices that are perfect for just about any vaper. Their coil options, ease of use, and battery life make them advantageous over other kits and brands. However, the only thing that would keep me from upgrading is the price difference, with over £10 difference, you need to choose whether the new EVOLV DNA technology is worth it and whether it will truly upgrade your vaping experience.
Final Thoughts
Now, to conclude this review and form my final opinion, let's rate it out of five on some key topics.
Build Quality and Colour Options
5/5
With five exceptional colourways, you won’t be disappointed whichever you choose. I tested the Luminous Forged Carbon, but Frost Titanium Blue, Nebula Grey, Silk Brown, and Silk White are also available.
They all have the same build quality, which cannot be faulted. Oxva has cemented itself as the top brand for reliable and long-lasting kits. I give them a 5/5 because I never had any problems with Oxva vapes failing or breaking, and the same is true for the new PRO 2 DNA.
User Interface and Technology
4/5
The 0.56-inch clear HD colour screen is the perfect size, as it shows you everything you need and nothing more. All the symbols are clear as they pop up, and I didn’t have any problem seeing what’s on the screen even in the sun.
As for the technology, the Anti-Burn feature is the reason I can’t give a 5/5. It had confused itself a couple of times, which has prevented me from taking a puff, but again, it was an easy fix and only happened a couple of times.
The Flavour Replay mode is faultless and a superb addition that can get you excited about all its possibilities.
Overall, this is some of the best technology available in a vape kit - full stop. You won’t be able to find anything like this from a competing brand, and it’s extraordinary that Oxva made this with their collaboration with EVOLV.
Vaping Performance and Flavour Quality
5/5
The vaping experience was outstanding. Going into this, I knew I would have a great experience with this kit, as it is from Oxva and is a Xlim pod kit. They are already very reliable and some of the best kits out there.
It was no different with this device; the battery lasted me ages, over two days with average use, and charging it back up was extremely quick. The flavour output was exceptional throughout the whole time I used it until the last drop, even when I had a low battery.
I can easily give the performance and flavour quality a 5/5; pairing this with Oxva’s OX Passion nic salts was definitely the right move, and the kit outperformed many other devices I have used.
